Yukon Film Production Fund

The purpose of the Yukon Film Production Fund is to encourage the growth and development of the Yukon Film industry through the provision of non-repayable financial contributions to assist with the costs of producing a film in the Yukon.

Up to $500,000/project is available to Yukon corporations who financially and creatively control projects to assist with the costs of producing a film in Yukon. Production is the period of time during which the project is being captured on film or videotape. The applicant is required to have marketplace support in the form of a broadcast license which is a commitment by a licensed broadcaster to participate financially in the production of the project, or a distribution arrangement.

For productions solely controlled by a Yukon resident or corporation, the contributions will be based on 30% of Yukon expenditures or 30% of total production costs whichever is the lesser.

For co-productions the contribution will be based on 30% of Yukon expenditures or 20% of total production costs whichever is lesser.
