Yukon Sound
Yukon is home to a dynamic and growing music industry. From respected veteran musicians to budding youth bands, Yukon has an abundance of musical performers competing on the national and international stage.
Yukon musicians create and perform their music locally and at a number of prestigious Canadian, American and European events through showcasing and touring. Yukoners have been nominees and winners of awards at the Junos, the Western Canadian Music Awards and numerous other national and international events.
Government of Yukon provides financial support to local musicians through funds administered by the Department of Economic Development and the Department of Tourism and Culture. Financial support is also available to the industry through the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings (FACTOR) and other federally sponsored programs.
